So, we bought our fixer upper two years ago now. We had all these plans for renovating our house and a timeline of 2 years. Well, 2 years have come and go and we've finished a grand total of one room. Now, in all fairness, life has totally gotten in the way. Anthony changed jobs, we made a temporary move to New York, and we had twin boys (for a total of 4 boys)! But no matter how you slice it, we've only completely finished one room.
Now there is one advantage to it taking us a while to renovate. When we bought the house we had a plan for each room, but as life has changed so has our plan for some of the rooms. In particular, our smallest bedroom we originally used as an office as it seemed too small to be used as a bedroom. But when Anthony changed jobs he began working from home. And then when our friend Mike started working for the same company, they both began working from our home. In addition, we needed a place to set up a treadmill...preferably a room the kids did not frequent. The best solution was to use a larger room and turn it into an office for two/exercise room. If we had done our renovations sooner we'd have had to redo two rooms a year later.
OK...so enough about that. Let's get to the pictures which is the reason for this post. First, the before-rendering-after shots.
